The boy is cheerful, curious and very active; he loves playing, running and exploring the world. Despite the severe diagnosis of spinal bifida, Aibat already knows how to walk independently—he took his first steps at the age of 1 year and 2 months, which was a great joy for the whole family.

In ibatidlipomeningocele — a complex form of spinal bifida — a fatty tumor (lipoma) grows into the spinal cord and nerve roots. This leads to the fixation of the spinal cord, which stretches as the child grows.

The boy has already undergone two operations in Kazakhstan, but local doctors were unable to completely remove the lipoma and release the nerve roots. The spinal cord strain progressed, and Aibat began to experience pain; his legs quickly became fatigued even with minimal activity; he also had problems controlling his urination and bowel movements. Without timely treatment, the condition could have led to irreversible disorders and disability.

To prevent these consequences and preserve the boy's health, a complex operation was required by Israeli neurosurgeon Shimon Rokkind at the Assuta Medical Center.

On May 1, 2026, Aibat successfully underwent the surgery! The professor assessed it as very complex but successful. After the intervention, nerve impulses in the legs, the function of the bladder, and other indicators improved.

In order for the operation to take place, the foundation issued a guarantee letter to the clinic, as it was not yet possible to collect the entire necessary amount at that time.

The collection was fully closed thanks to the support of our benefactors. A special role was played by the fund’s friend, who on his birthday offered guests the opportunity to support Aybat instead of gifts. His holiday helped raise 29,742 euros—this amount was crucial for closing the collection.

We thank everyone who became part of his story and helped the boy receive the necessary medical care.
