Amina is our foster child from Magnitogorsk. She can't stand on her own yet and lives with a tracheostomy after two heart surgeries.<\/p>\n
Amina was born with a heart defect, hydrocephaly, and congenital pneumonia. She spent the first few days of her life on life support because she couldn\u2019t breathe on her own. After two heart surgeries, she was fitted with a tracheostomy tube, with which she has lived ever since.<\/p>\n
Amina's mother turned to our foundation for help in raising funds for the necessary hydrocephalus examination. In Russia, the family was unable to undergo the diagnosis due to the girl's age and the difficulties associated with administering anesthesia. Amina will be able to undergo the examination at the Schneider Clinic in Israel, where doctors will assess her condition and determine the next course of treatment.<\/p>\n
Thanks to the guests at our anniversary event, we were able to raise all the necessary funds in less than a week. We thank everyone who was involved in this story.<\/p>\n
