Savely was born in the 28th week of pregnancy, weighing 990 g and growing 36 cm. Two weeks later, the boy was transferred to another clinic. He could not withstand transportation without an incubator and fell into a coma, but after five days he regained consciousness. The boy was on ventilator for 2.5 months, after which he was discharged home.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the age of one year Saveliy was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, after which he regularly underwent numerous rehabilitations in Russia and Kazakhstan.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the age of 7, the boy underwent SDR surgery on his spine.<\/span><\/p>\n

Saveliy has achieved great success: he is an excellent student, loves to sing and recites poetry well, is hardworking and does sports. He even passed the qualifying round in wheelchair tennis and can get into the youth Paralympic team of Kazakhstan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Savelius' dream is to learn to walk. However, in order to make it a reality, the boy had to undergo a unique surgery with Dr. Nuzzo at the American medical center Overlook.<\/span><\/p>\n

The uniqueness of the surgery lies in the least amount of intervention while maximizing functional and motor preservation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Nuzzo builds up the volume of the acetabulum, where the head of the femur enters, with an innovative sponge material, which subsequently grows its own cartilage tissue, and the material resorbs over time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thanks to the help of kind and caring hearts, the collection was closed on April 6, 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n

The boy's surgical treatment at American Medical Center was performed on May 14, 2024, during which Dr. Nuzzo and Dr. Rieger performed a complex process of hip augmentation by increasing the acetabular area and affecting the fascia of the leg muscles.<\/span><\/p>\n

The operation was successful and Saveliy was able to walk independently again!<\/span><\/p>\n
