Thanks to your support and caring, in November 2023, Pauline was able to go for an examination at the <\/span>Children's Hospital Zurich<\/span><\/a> (<\/span>Moyamoya Center<\/span><\/a>, Switzerland). It was successful.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the course of the examination, MRI was performed for the purpose of brain diagnosis. Imaging studies were also performed: angiography and water PET\/CT.<\/span><\/p>\n

On examination, it was found that brain lesions in the frontal lobes were interspersed with areas of healthy tissue, and blood flow in this area was lacking.<\/span><\/p>\n

The girl has fully preserved intelligence, so it is necessary to save this part of the brain by all means and to perform an operation on Pauline to shunt the anterior cerebral vessels on the right and left.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thanks to your kind hearts and the help of a great friend of our foundation, we were able to close this fundraiser in a timely manner.<\/span><\/p>\n

On April 26, 2024, Professor Nadia Kahn performed two trepanations (right and left) on the girl and performed bilateral bypass surgery in one operation. The operation lasted about 7 hours and was successful.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now we can confidently say that Pauline's great journey under the title \u00abTreatment of Moyamoya's Disease\u00bb has been accomplished.<\/span><\/p>\n
