Friends, we have some joyful news to share: Dr. Naum Simanovsky successfully operated on our ward Ilaria today. He removed the metal implants previously placed on both of her hips and inserted a corrective screw into the growth plate of her left knee joint, which will correct the knee's valgus deformity over the course of a year.<\/p>\n
The surgery lasted two hours. Everything went successfully.
\nNow Ilaria will be able to walk straighter, more confidently, without her knees turning inward. And, most importantly, she will avoid a wheelchair and continue to ride her bicycle.<\/p>\n
