In February 2024, thanks to your help. Mark<\/a> was able to receive life-saving treatment from world-renowned epileptologist Antonio Russi. More than four months have passed since the operation. The boy has made significant changes for the better.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mark's news was shared with us by Nika, his mom:<\/span><\/p>\n

Mark has recovered, he is stronger, alert, sitting up confidently. He started to reach out his hands to us, reach for a toy, learned to lie down on a pillow, started to move towards us on the floor if he wants contact, new speech sounds appeared. We stopped using the playpen on the floor, as he stopped hitting the walls and surrounding objects, and occasionally gets on all fours. Mark has also started going \u00abbig\u00bb in a diaper on his own. For 4 years this was a serious and unsolvable problem for us, and as it turned out, it was all connected with his head - after the surgery he got sensitivity, and now he manages on his own. There are no epilepsy attacks. Development is progressing, and that is the most important thing!<\/span><\/p>\n

But Mark is having trouble sleeping. On July 4, we had a consultation with Dr. Russi. After reviewing the EEG results, he said that everything is fine - he doesn't see any epiactivity. Mark will have another EEG in September. Also, the doctor has decided to remove one of the medications and bring back another. This should help to promote healthy sleep.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
