Friends, thanks to your kind hearts, Vanya's wish came true on his birthday - the boy went for treatment to Dr. Yonatan Roth at the Ikhilov Clinic. The doctors gave Vanya the necessary examinations, following which a decision was made to install an adjustable bypass system.
As a reminder, Vanya has communicating hydrocephalus - an open form of hydrocephalus in which the brain ventricles are not dilated, cerebrospinal fluid collects in excess in all subarachnoid spaces and compresses the brain. To establish liquor exchange, Dr. Yonatan Roth performed surgery on Vana on June 1, 2023, in which he placed a double-valve shunt system. This system prevents excess liquor from collecting in the head and drains it into the abdomen.
The operation went well. Now Vanya is recovering and together with his mom sends you all a big hello. It is still too early to talk about the results of treatment, but we are looking forward to the best news. As soon as we have them, we will tell you about them.
