Friends, thanks to you, a miracle has happened! You helped Alice to get back on her feet! The girl can walk again!
Alice suddenly developed Perthes disease last fall, which disrupted the blood supply to her femoral neck. Necrosis and unbearable pain appeared. Since November, the girl has been unable to walk on her own, moving only with the help of crutches and was forced to follow bed rest.
Thanks to your kind hearts, we were able to send Alice for treatment in Israel to Dr. Barry Danino. He successfully performed a very complicated operation - a shelf acetabuloplasty, which prevented further destruction of the femoral neck head and helped to put the girl back on her feet. Alice spent six weeks after the operation lying down, unable to stand or sit up. It was very difficult for her, but definitely worth the result. Dr. Bari said that the healing process has been completed successfully! Alyssa can now stand and walk on her own! The most difficult part of Alice's treatment is behind her. Now the girl is already at home, in Kaliningrad, and a long and difficult period of rehabilitation is ahead of her. We have no doubt that Alisa, as a real sportswoman, will cope with it and will soon please us with her news.
