Friends, we have happy news from Salomia Patoska!
On September 12, Professor Nadia Kahn performed a very complicated operation on Salomi's cerebral vessels. It was a success. Salomi and her mother have already flown home.
Salomiya underwent surgery on 3 brain vessels: two in front and one in the back on the left side. Usually surgeons operate on two vessels in one operation for children diagnosed with moyamoya. But the results of Salomiya's examinations before treatment showed that the treatment of the third vessel could not be postponed. Therefore, Prof. Kahn did her best to treat all vessels in one operation.
The operation lasted 10 hours. Prof. Kang did a brilliant job. Now, thanks to the treatment, the risk of a stroke due to Salomiya's moyamoya diagnosis has been minimized. We are eternally grateful to Nadia for her professionalism and kind heart.
Now Salomiya is already at home with her large and friendly family. The girl feels well and is recovering.
But this is not all good news, friends! Before the operation, Salomiya had the condition of the two vessels that she had operated on in February of this year checked. The blood circulation in them is much better. Salomiya is recovering steadily and we believe that every day she will have more and more strength for a carefree happy life!
A year ago, Salomia's mom dreamed of this news, but today it has become a reality. This has become possible thanks to your kind hearts! Thank you for helping children have a chance for a healthy future!
