Thanks to the company TrafficStars at the end of last year we managed to give a Christmas miracle to Sashenka and in time to close the important collection for his treatment at Teknon Clinic.
On January 19, Sasha was hospitalized. After undergoing a preoperative examination on January 21, the boy was implanted with electrodes in the brain. On January 26, the epilepsy focus was successfully removed.
The very next day after the operation, the nocturnal electroencephalogram improved significantly - the epileptic activity practically disappeared. Sasha slept through the night peacefully for the first time in a long time.
After the electrodes were removed under MRI control, the doctors monitored Sasha's condition for several days. After making sure that everything was fine, they sent him home to recover.
The doctors are happy with the interim results, and the major changes on the EEG look very encouraging. Now it is important to give the brain time to recover. In about three months, it will be possible to fully assess the results of the treatment.
Now Sasha and his family are already at home in Moldova. We wish the boy a speedy recovery. We will be looking forward to hearing the best news from him.
