Azalia from Bishkek. She is 13 years old. The girl has a rare congenital disease—arteriovenous malformation of the lower jaw, in which the blood vessels bleed easily. The girl regularly traveled for embolization procedures at the Halle clinic in Germany, which helped keep the disease under control.
In March 2026, Azalia arrived for another procedure. But during it, uncontrolled bleeding suddenly began. The girl was saved, but the consequence was severe hypoxic brain damage—her brain was deprived of oxygen for several minutes, causing Azalia to spend over a month in intensive care.
When her condition stabilized, the girl was admitted to passive rehabilitation. But in late June, during the rehabilitation itself, the bleeding started again. Azalia was transferred to the Brandenburg University Hospital for three days to stop it. After that, she continued rehabilitation, her condition improved, and she was able to fly to Russia, where she is currently in a rehabilitation center and continues to recover. All the family's strength and resources are directed toward paying for her ongoing treatment.
Parents turned to the foundation for help paying off the debt for those three emergency days at the Brandenburg University Hospital — 1 838 €. The bill had to be paid by August 28. Thanks to your monthly donations, we were able to do this on time.
