Alfia
Zharlygasyn
Alfiya was born into a large and close-knit family in Talgar, Kazakhstan. She has two older brothers and a little sister. The parents found out about the baby's pathology only at the third screening, but firmly decided that together they would cope with all the difficulties and do everything possible to give their daughter a full-fledged future.
At birth, Alfiya had an open spinal hernia in the sacral region. On the third day of her life, the girl underwent surgery. The operation was successful, but four months later Alfiya's condition began to deteriorate. Her right leg was bent, there was no sensitivity in the feet, her toes were bent and did not extend. Despite this, the little girl was actively learning new skills. She sat up, learned to roll over, crawled and explored the world around her with great curiosity.
Unfortunately, the doctors noted negative dynamics of Alfia's condition. The girl experienced severe pain during urination and defecation, slept only on her stomach, often woke up at night and cried from pain. Doctors at the Assuta Clinic in Israel strongly recommended that Alfia undergo spinal cord surgery as soon as possible to free her spinal cord from its fixation.
Thanks to kind hearts and one generous girl Ekaterina, we managed to collect all the necessary amount for Alfia's treatment.
On July 4, 2024, the girl underwent a life-saving surgery at Assuta Clinic. It was a success.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated in this good deed and helped us make a difference in a little girl's life.
