Epilepsy
Age: 6 years old

Andrei was born with multiple malformations and underwent several complicated operations on his esophagus and heart before he was discharged from the hospital. The trials that fell to his lot seemed insurmountable, but the boy coped: by the age of two, he took his first steps, began to develop actively, sleep well and enjoy life.

But at the age of three, everything changed. Andrei had his first epileptic seizure. Since then, the seizures have been recurring - they were impossible to predict and stop. Sometimes they happen once a week, sometimes three times a month, and there are also periods of calm. But the worst thing is that the attacks last for 25-30 minutes. During this time the boy practically stops breathing. The medications are changing each other, but so far none of them has brought relief.

The disease left a deep mark on the boy's life. It slowed down his development, affected his speech and weight, and the long-term use of drugs caused hyperactivity, memory and concentration problems. After seizures, Andrei gets tired quickly, speaks worse, his sleep is disturbed, and his general condition remains unstable.

But despite all the difficulties, Andrei is a real little hero. He continues to fight. He loves to play, smile and discover the world. His family has not given up hope: an online consultation with Prof. Elger, a leading epilepsy specialist, could be a turning point. This is a chance to find the right treatment and give Andrei a seizure-free life.

On February 27, 2025, Andrew had an online consultation with Professor Elger, who was able to detail the boy's further treatment plan.

Andrei's parents would like to express their gratitude for the help and kind heart to everyone who responded and helped to raise the necessary amount for the consultation.
