Beautiful Emilia grew up in a large and loving family to the delight of everyone. At the age of two she knew the basic colors, named them in Russian and English, knew animals, counted to 10 and back, spoke in phrases. But after a flight on an airplane, Emilia stopped understanding spoken language, practically stopped talking, making eye contact and playing with children.

Systematic sessions with psychologists and defectologists, consultations with neurologists and psychiatrists, unfortunately, did not bring significant results. After a long search for the cause, doctors came to the conclusion that the girl had a rare form of epilepsy. Emilia's seizures manifested themselves as uncontrollable tantrums, sleep disturbances and outbursts of aggression.

Additional tests and MRI scans confirmed that the girl had cortical dysplasia, a malformation of the cerebral cortex. The doctors at Teknon Clinic believed that without surgery, Emilia would never be able to live a full life, develop and speak.

Thanks to your support we managed to raise 19,815 € for Emilia Sarkisyants' surgery. The operation was successful, the postoperative examination did not reveal any epilepsy foci.

Thank you to the Together Forever Foundation for their help! The child is already making positive progress after the surgery! Our daughter has already spoken a few conscious words that we have not heard from her in 6 years. A child who has not used cutlery for years is now eating from a spoon on her own! This is a real miracle for us! In addition, our little girl has a healthy appetite.

It's still too little time after surgery, but even what we're seeing now are great results for us!
