Christine
Victoria Volskaya
Christina Victoria is a smart and beautiful girl, born a healthy child. From the age of two, the girl was actively engaged in ballet and gymnastics. Teachers-choreographers said that she had talent and a great future in ballet awaited her. She sang, drew, danced, studied well at school and practically never got sick. But in 2023, a big change happened in the girl's life, and now she urgently needs our help.
In the summer of 2023, Christina Victoria was diagnosed with a tumor in the area of her left eye. Her parents immediately sought help from doctors at the Morozov Clinic (Moscow, Russia).
The tumor turned out to be benign - a piloid astrocytoma. The doctors tried to take a biopsy and damaged Christina Victoria's eye, as well as the nerves and muscles around it.
Now the girl's left eyebrow does not rise, the eye does not close completely, the pupil looks towards the nose and does not react to light. But the worst thing is that the tumor continues to grow, pressing on the brain, pushing the left eye out of the orbit and approaching the right eye, depriving it of vision.
To stop the tumor from growing and restore their daughter's vision, her parents began treatment for Christina Victoria with proton radiation therapy at Chulalongkorn Comprehensive Cancer Center (Bangkok, Thailand).
After several proton sessions, the vision in the right eye started to return. There was a great hope that the girl's vision would return completely and the treatment would help to get rid of the tumor for good. In order for the girl to be able to undergo a full course of proton therapy it was necessary to raise 35,000 €.
Thanks to the kind hearts of Cyprus, the collection was closed on March 17, 2024. The girl was successfully treated with radiation therapy at Chulalongkorn Comprehensive Cancer Center, during which the tumor was successfully removed. Christina Victoria has also successfully completed her rehabilitation and can now live a happy and fulfilling life!
A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the collection!
We wish Christina Victoria continued success and good health!
