Pasha is the first and long-awaited child in the family. Until he was five months old, the boy developed like any other healthy baby: he hummed, held his head, turned over, and reached for toys. When the neurologist allowed to vaccinate Pasha, two weeks after the first vaccination, the boy had strange symptoms: hang-ups, red eyes, head deviation, foaming from the mouth. These episodes were repeated up to 30 times a day. The doctors made a disappointing diagnosis - epilepsy.

Treatment and medications gave temporary improvements, but as he got older, the attacks became even more severe. Three times Pasha suffered from epistatus, a condition in which a seizure lasted up to 1.5 hours, was not controlled with medication and ended with resuscitation and connection to a ventilator. Each of these episodes resulted in a severe setback in development.

Pasha has daily seizures that do not stop even when he sleeps. Because of the disease, he has a divergent strabismus, his knee joints are deformed, he walks with difficulty without bending his knees, and he cannot run. He does not speak, does not understand speech, does not respond to his name. Pasha is completely dependent on his parents for household chores.

Genetic analysis revealed a gene disorder and a diagnosis of focal cortical dysplasia. Consultation with Dr. Russi gave us hope - a preoperative examination at Teknon Clinic (Spain) will help to determine the format of treatment that will give Pasha a chance to live without seizures.

Thanks to your help, Pasha was able to be examined by world-renowned epileptologist Antonio Russi. On July 2, 2025, the boy was diagnosed, including an overnight electroencephalography (EEG) procedure. Based on the results, Pasha was found to have 10 epileptic foci in the right temporal lobe of the brain that could be surgically corrected. Dr. Russey was also able to adjust the current treatment by prescribing a new drug.
