The thoughtful little girl in the photos is called Taya. She is just over a year old. The diagnosis she was given at birth sounds frightening: spina bifida and, as a complication, spinal cord fixation syndrome.

The disease that Taisia is fighting now is very serious indeed. If not for a timely operation, the consequences could have been terrible - complete immobility. Taisia's mom is a very brave girl named Daria. She wrote us a letter asking us to help raise money for the operation at Assuta Clinic in Israel.

The main difference between the operation in Israel is that the lipoma, interfering with the girl's life, is completely removed, freeing the nerve roots, ingrown in it. Usually in such cases, the child is connected to a special device that shows the passage of nerve impulses along the nerve roots. The doctor restores the patency of each root. The work of the whole body depends on it. Assuta Clinic has performed hundreds of such operations, and experience and skill in surgery are incredibly important.
Thanks to your support, we were able to raise 18,000 $ to pay for Tai's treatment in 2018.
