Spastic cerebral palsy, epilepsy
Age: 13 years old

Veronica was born prematurely, at 34 weeks, by emergency caesarean section. The reason for the operation was the risk of the baby dying in the womb due to suffocation by the umbilical cord. Veronica spent the first two weeks after birth in intensive care, then another month in hospital and was discharged very small and weak, under the supervision of a pediatric neurologist.

A difficult birth led to brain disorders and by the age of 8 months Veronika was diagnosed with spastic cerebral palsy. From that moment on, Veronica and her parents began the struggle for life with this severe diagnosis. Constant injections, massages and rehabilitation partially helped - the girl learned to crawl and stand on a support, but she was never able to walk independently.

By the age of five, a complication appeared - epilepsy. The disease did not allow stable improvements in Veronica's condition and blocked many rehabilitation procedures and medications.

Thanks to your support we managed to raise 4,020 $ to undergo a diagnostic examination at Assuta Medical Center in Israel in 2017, based on which the doctors developed a further treatment and rehabilitation plan for the girl.
