Elmira, Alimzhan's mom, writes: 

«After birth, doctors noticed a burgundy-blue spot on the child's left buttock that looked like a hemangioma and a small mass. Until 8 months my son was observed by doctors in the oncology center. Our boy grew and developed in accordance with his age, but the spot in the buttock area gradually began to increase. After an MRI of the lumbosacral spine, we learned that our son had spina bifida. After the words of our doctors that the child would be disabled and would not be able to walk, we refused the operation in Kazakhstan, and when Alimzhan was 10 months old, we went to Iran for the operation. Two months after the operation our son took his first steps, which we were incredibly happy about and thought that the worst was over. But we were very much mistaken. Over time Alimzhan's condition began to deteriorate, he was found to have pelvic organ disorders, his left leg weakened and he became lame, fell a lot and tired quickly. After a repeat MRI, we learned that his spinal cord was fixed again. We went to rehabilitation centers and underwent complex treatment (LFK, acupuncture, electrophoresis, massage), but it did not bring any results.
2 years ago we managed to meet Dr. Shimon Rohkind and now we know how we can save our son from further complications. But unfortunately, our family cannot afford to pay for the 49,229 € treatment on our own. From the bottom of our hearts we ask you, dear benefactors, to give Alimzhan a chance for a happy full and long life!»

On December 15, 2022, Dr. Shimon Rohkind performed surgery on the boy, freeing his spinal cord and spinal roots from lipoma, fibrotic tissue and multiple adhesions after the first surgery. Thank you to everyone who helped us make a difference in Alimzhan's life!
