Azalia has a rare congenital disorder in which blood vessels are improperly formed and bleed easily. For a long time, embolization—a procedure that blocks dangerous blood vessels from the inside—helped her cope with it.

In March of this year, Azalia arrived in Germany at the Halle clinic for another scheduled procedure. However, during the procedure, uncontrollable bleeding suddenly began. The girl was saved, but the consequence was severe hypoxic brain damage. Azalia spent over a month in the intensive care unit.

When the girl's condition stabilized, the doctors cleared her for passive rehabilitation, which was mandatory in her case. But during rehabilitation at the end of June, the bleeding started again. Azalia was urgently transferred to the Brandenburg University Hospital for three days to stop it. After that, she continued her rehabilitation, her condition improved, and she was able to fly home. Now the girl is continuing her course of rehabilitation in Russia. Recently, the parents received an invoice for the care provided at the Brandenburg University Hospital in the amount of 1 838 €. But all the family's resources and efforts are aimed at raising funds for the girl's ongoing rehabilitation.
