Sofia
Milovanova
Once upon a time, a small miracle happened in the world - a baby girl, Sonya Milovanov, was born. She was born prematurely, in the 30th week, weighing 1.6 kg and growing only 40 cm. Sonya spent the first months in intensive care: she could not breathe on her own and could see practically nothing. Doctors diagnosed organic changes in her brain and later diagnosed cerebral palsy (Cerebral Palsy).
Sonia went to a school for children with disabilities, which did not allow her abilities to develop to the fullest. The girl's parents decided to do everything possible so that their daughter, despite her health limitations, could live a dignified and full life. Sonechka was treated in many clinics and rehabilitation centers.
One day, Sonya went to a course with the famous doctor Vladimir Ilyich Kozyavkin in Cyprus. The effect was remarkable: contractures weakened, for a while, as her parents say, «her eyes aligned», Sonya began to speak much better, and her coordination of movements improved. Cerebral palsy is a disease of constant regression, and in order to fight it, treatment is needed constantly. Thanks to your support in 2018 we managed to raise 3,850 € to pay for a second course of rehabilitation.
Parents' appreciation
Thanks to the support of your Together Forever Foundation, my daughter underwent a course of treatment according to the method of Prof. V. I. Kozyavkin in Cyprus. The result of the treatment did not last long. Already at the end of the course she began to stand more confidently, straightening her legs, catching her balance! She could walk more freely - even if she was still accompanied, but with her knees up high! We have been struggling for years to achieve such results, and here - in one course!
Hopefully these achievements will last as long as possible, because the child is growing and spasticity increases with growth. I am very happy with the victories we have so far. We will move on!
Thank you to all the people who help children and their parents, creating small miracles with their big hearts! Thank you to the organizers of the fund, all its friendly team and, of course, to those who help financially to implement such «dream projects». It is very valuable and important to realize that you are not alone in this world in your battle with the disease, that you are surrounded by people who are ready to help. Thank you!
- with gratitude, Sofia Milovanova's mom Maria Yankova.
