Feb. 26. Dr. Naum Simanowski performed orthopedic surgery on our patient's feet and ankles at the Assuta Clinic. On the left foot, the doctor performed Achilles tendon lengthening, and on the right foot, he used a comprehensive approach, opening the foot completely and freeing the tendon from contractures.
The result of the surgery is Aiaulym's flat feet. This is a big victory in the girl's case.
Now she will have to be verticalized and trained to walk: first in fiberglass casts, then in orthoses. It will be a long but very important process. Gulderaim, Ayaulym's mother, will do her best. We believe that she will succeed!
