Andrei was born with multiple congenital disorders and underwent several complex surgeries on his esophagus and heart before even leaving the hospital. His challenges seemed insurmountable, but he proved to be a fighter—by the age of two, he took his first steps, began developing actively, sleeping peacefully, and enjoying life.

But everything changed when he turned three. Andrei had his first epileptic seizure. Since then, the convulsions have become a constant, unpredictable, and unstoppable part of his life. Sometimes they happen once a week, sometimes three times a month, and occasionally there are brief moments of respite. The most terrifying part? His seizures last for 25–30 minutes, during which he almost stops breathing. One medication replaces another, yet none have brought relief.

The illness has left a deep mark on Andrey’s life. It has slowed his development, affected his speech and weight, and the prolonged use of medications has caused hyperactivity, memory problems, and difficulty concentrating. After each seizure, he quickly becomes exhausted, struggles to speak, his sleep is disrupted, and his overall condition remains unstable.

Despite all this, Andrei is a true little hero. At just five years old, he keeps fighting. He loves to play, smile, and explore the world around him. His family holds onto hope: an online consultation with Professor Elger, a leading epilepsy specialist, could be a turning point. This is his chance to receive the right treatment and finally live without seizures.

Andrey Sidorov’s fundraising is closed!

On February 27, Andrei had an online consultation with Professor Elger, who was able to work out the further treatment plan for the boy in detail. Andrei's parents are very grateful for the help and kind heart of everyone who responded and helped to raise the necessary amount of money for the consultation.
