The boy was born in Baikonur (Kazakhstan) as the long-awaited third child in his family. His parents dreamed he would grow up strong and healthy, but soon after birth, doctors noticed a small dimple in his sacral area. After initial examinations, he was preliminarily diagnosed with Spina Bifida. In December 2024, his parents secured an in-person consultation with Israeli Professor Shimon Rohkind—a world-renowned specialist in treating Spina Bifida—who even traveled to Astana.
The doctor confirmed the diagnosis and delivered the crucial news: Ibrahim has a chance to avoid the irreversible consequences of this dangerous condition, but the surgery must be performed as soon as possible, before he reaches 1.5 years of age. Ibrahim is now making his first attempts to stand and walk, yet early verticalization in his case may lead to complications. That’s why it’s imperative to ensure he receives surgical treatment at Assuta Clinic while he is still not walking.
Friends, we have the opportunity to give this little one a chance at timely treatment that can help him to get rid of the consequences of an insidious diagnosis.
The cost of the surgery in Israel is 44,972 euros. For a family where only the father works while the mother is on maternity leave, this is an insurmountable sum. They cannot manage without our support.
Every donation is a step toward a healthy future for Ibrahim.
