Yulia is 10 years old and lives in Krasnodar, Russia. At the age of one, she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (CP). Since then, together with her parents she has fought tirelessly every single day for a healthier and brighter future. Yulia has completed numerous therapy courses in Russia, the Czech Republic, and Poland, and four years ago, we helped her attend one of these courses thanks to your generous support.

In 2020, Yulia underwent a complex SDR surgery performed by Dr. Park at the Children’s Hospital of Saint Louis (USA). Dr. Dobbs also performed an Achilles tendon surgery for her. These treatments significantly reduced the spasticity in her legs.

Now, however, Yulia is going through a phase of active growth. The muscle tone in her legs has increased again, affecting the proper positioning of her feet and hip joints. Yulia urgently needs surgery to lengthen and relax the adductor muscles in her legs using the PERCS method at the Paley European Institute in Warsaw, Poland. This procedure will help reduce spasticity and improve her mobility. Thanks to the institute’s unique approach that avoids casting, Yulia will be able to stand on her feet just three days after surgery and immediately begin intensive physiotherapy sessions.

Yulia is fully intellectually capable. Her only challenge in school is the inability to write by hand, but she compensates by typing. To move around, Yulia uses a walker, which allows her to cover distances of up to 3 kilometers. She loves riding her bike and dreams of becoming a circus director one day.

Together, we can change Yulia's life for the better!
